We are about nine minutes from Aliso Viejo, up Aliso Creek Road and Aliso Viejo Parkway, then Laguna Hills Drive. No freeway at any point. For most people in Aliso Viejo the obstacle was never the drive. It is finding an hour that does not cost half a working day.

Can I come before or after work?

Yes. We are open Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

That means the first appointment of the day and the last one both exist every weekday, not just on certain days.

  • Take the 8 a.m. slot and still be at your desk on time.
  • Or take the last slot and come straight from work.
  • Ask for the first or the last slot when you call and we will hold one.

Aliso Viejo is the youngest city in this part of the county and one of the most employed. If your day starts at Pacific Park or Enterprise, at MicroVention, Glaukos or UPS, a midday appointment means telling someone you will be gone for two hours. It does not have to.

Can you see the whole family in one trip?

Aliso Viejo has the highest share of children of any city near us, close to a quarter of the population. Almost nobody books one appointment.

  • Cleanings and checkups for everyone in the same visit, in consecutive chairs where we can.
  • Sealants and preventive care for children. This is the cheapest dentistry you will ever pay for.
  • Orthodontic assessment for teenagers. Treatment when the timing is right, rather than as early as possible.
  • Same-day help when someone breaks a tooth, which never happens at a convenient hour.

What about cosmetic work?

Ask for an honest assessment before you ask for a treatment.

  • KoR whitening removes no tooth structure at all. It is the sensible place to start.
  • Porcelain veneers remove a measured layer of enamel, and that layer does not come back.
  • Clear aligners move teeth rather than cover them. Sometimes that is the whole answer.
  • A full smile makeover combines several of these into one plan.

Nothing is prepared until you have seen it. Veneers are irreversible, which is exactly why you approve a trial smile first. There is more on the cosmetic dentistry page.

We just moved here. Where do we start?

Come in for an ordinary first visit rather than an emergency one.

A lot of people arrive in Aliso Viejo without a dentist and only start looking when something hurts. We take a full set of records and tell you what needs attention now and what does not.

Then you have somewhere to call before it becomes an emergency on a Saturday. There is more on the general dentistry page.

For routine care, see dental cleanings and exams, fillings, crowns and tooth extractions. If dental visits make you anxious, sedation dentistry is available, and same-day emergency appointments are held daily. Children are seen too; see family and children’s dentistry.

Do you take my insurance?

We accept Delta Dental, Aetna, Cigna, MetLife, Guardian, Humana, Anthem Blue Cross, Blue Shield, UnitedHealthcare and other major PPO plans, and the Delta Dental, Guardian and MetLife HMO plans (full list).

Call with your carrier name, member ID and group number. We will check your coverage before your first visit.

The dental plans we are in network with, including the HMO and Medicare Advantage plans, are listed on the insurance page.

What will it cost?

For anything beyond a routine visit you get a written estimate first, itemized. It shows what your plan is expected to pay and what it leaves you.

That applies to cosmetic work too, where the gap between plans is widest. Cosmetic treatment is rarely covered by a dental plan.

If you want the cost spread over time, that happens through an outside lender rather than through us. The financing page sets out which companies we work with, what each one checks, and what happens if a promotional period ends before the balance is cleared.

Where do I park?

Street parking is free and there are free spaces behind the building. The parking structure charges, so most people skip it.

Suite 450 is reached by elevator. There are no stairs between the car and the chair.

We are in Laguna Hills ourselves. There is a page for Laguna Hills with the neighborhoods, parking and the elevator to Suite 450.

Pearl32 Dentistry and Wellness also has pages for patients coming from Laguna Hills, Laguna Woods, Laguna Woods Village, Lake Forest, Laguna Niguel, Mission Viejo, Laguna Beach, Irvine, San Juan Capistrano, Tustin, Dana Point, San Clemente, Newport Beach and South Orange County. The office is the same one, at 24022 Calle De La Plata, Suite 450, Laguna Hills.
