Why the Aetna network matters
Aetna runs more than one dental PPO network. Our contract is with the Extend network, and that is what decides how your claim is paid. If your plan is on Extend, you pay the in-network share. If it is on another Aetna network, some plans still pay part of the fee out of network, and we help you read what yours says.
Aetna PPO coverage
Most Aetna PPO plans cover exams, cleanings and routine x-rays at or near 100 percent, fillings at a middle rate, and crowns, root canals and other major work at a lower rate, up to your annual maximum. We confirm your deductible and waiting periods before treatment, and you get a written estimate first.
