San Clemente is about 25 minutes from our office outside rush hour, almost all of it on the I-5. That is not a quick trip, and San Clemente has dentists of its own. This page is for people who find the drive worth it: larger treatment, a second opinion, or a practice they already know.
How long is the drive?
- From the Pier and downtown, about 25 minutes via Avenida Palizada and the I-5.
- From Rancho San Clemente, about 25 minutes via Avenida Pico and the I-5.
- From Talega, about 25 minutes via La Pata Avenue, Antonio Parkway and Crown Valley Parkway, then the I-5.
None of these routes use toll roads. The times are outside rush hour, and the I-5 through south Orange County gets heavily congested at commute times, so a mid-morning or early afternoon appointment saves a lot of sitting in traffic. Street parking is free and there are free spaces behind the building. The parking structure charges, so most people skip it. Suite 450 is reached by elevator.
How do you keep the number of trips down?
When each visit is 25 minutes each way, fewer visits matter. Where it is safe to do so, we group treatment into fewer, longer appointments rather than many short ones.
- Same-day crowns, designed and milled in the office with CAD/CAM. For most cases there is no temporary crown and no second visit.
- 3D imaging and an intraoral scanner on site, so implant planning does not mean a trip somewhere else for a scan.
- A second opinion in one visit if you already have a treatment plan from another office.
What about the adults and grandparents?
About 21 percent of San Clemente residents are 65 or over (Census figures for 2020 to 2024). The work that matters at that stage:
- Dental implants, including All-on-4 and full arch treatment.
- Dentures, relines and implant-supported dentures.
- Periodontal maintenance, which is what decides whether teeth are kept into later life.
Dr. Nojan Jahedmanesh holds a certificate in prosthodontics from UCLA and practices as a general dentist. Prosthodontics is the area of dentistry concerned with replacing missing teeth.
What about surfers and families?
About one in five San Clemente residents is under 18. Between Trestles at the south end of town and the breaks along the pier, surfboards and reefs are hard on front teeth. We repair chipped teeth with bonding, make custom mouth guards for school sports, and see children for sealants and checkups.
If a tooth is knocked out. Hold it by the crown, not the root, keep it in milk and call us right away on (949) 830-0074. The first hour makes a real difference. See emergency dentistry.
We just moved to San Clemente. Where do we start?
Come in for a proper first visit rather than an emergency one. We take a full set of records, tell you plainly what needs attention now and what can wait, and you then have somewhere to call when something breaks on a Sunday night.
That applies whether you have landed in Talega, Forster Ranch, Marblehead Coastal or the Pier Bowl or anywhere else in San Clemente.
For routine care, see dental cleanings and exams, fillings, crowns and tooth extractions. If dental visits make you anxious, sedation dentistry is available, and same-day emergency appointments are held daily.
Do you take my insurance?
We accept Delta Dental, Aetna, Cigna, MetLife, Guardian, Humana, Anthem Blue Cross, Blue Shield, UnitedHealthcare and other major PPO plans, and the Delta Dental, Guardian and MetLife HMO plans (full list).
Call with your carrier name, member ID and group number. We will check your coverage before your first visit rather than after it.
What will it cost?
For anything past an exam and cleaning you get a written estimate first, itemized. It shows what your plan is expected to pay and what it leaves you.
No dental insurance? The Pearl32 membership is $59 a month with a $119 activation fee. There is also third party financing through Cherry, CareCredit, Sunbit and Happen Bank. The practice is not the creditor.
One thing worth saying plainly. This is a general practice, not a specialty office. Some complex surgical cases belong with a specialist. When that is the right call we will tell you so rather than take the case.
We are in Laguna Hills, not San Clemente. There is a page for Laguna Hills with the neighborhoods, parking and the elevator to Suite 450.
Pearl32 Dentistry and Wellness also has pages for patients coming from Laguna Hills, Laguna Woods, Laguna Woods Village, Lake Forest, Aliso Viejo, Laguna Niguel, Mission Viejo, Laguna Beach, Irvine, San Juan Capistrano, Tustin, Dana Point, Newport Beach and South Orange County. The office is the same one, at 24022 Calle De La Plata, Suite 450, Laguna Hills.
