Irvine Spectrum is about 8 minutes from our office outside rush hour, so from south Irvine this is a short drive. From UC Irvine or the north of the city it is closer to 15 or 20 minutes, and we would rather say so here than have you find out on the I-405.
How long is the drive?
- From Irvine Spectrum Center, about 8 minutes via the I-405 and I-5 to El Toro Road.
- From Northwood, about 14 minutes via Irvine Boulevard and the I-5. The quickest route uses a short stretch of the SR-133 toll road.
- From Woodbridge, about 15 minutes via Alton Parkway, Sand Canyon Avenue and the I-405.
- From UC Irvine, about 20 minutes on University Drive and the I-405, toll free.
Those times are outside rush hour. The I-5 and I-405 merge near the El Toro Y, and that stretch slows down at commute times. Street parking is free and there are free spaces behind the building. The parking structure charges, so most people skip it. Suite 450 is reached by elevator.
Can I fit an appointment around work?
Often, yes. If you work near the Spectrum or anywhere in south Irvine, an appointment at the start or end of the day is a few minutes off your route. The city’s employers include UC Irvine, Irvine Unified, Blizzard Entertainment and Edwards Lifesciences.
Tell us the window you have when you call and we will look for a time that fits it. For larger work, such as same-day crowns, we plan the visit so you know how long you will be in the chair before you book.
What about the children and teenagers?
About 22 percent of Irvine residents are under 18. Most of the city is in Irvine Unified, with parts of north and west Irvine in Tustin Unified, so tell us which district you are in and we will plan around its breaks.
- Sealants and fluoride, which cost far less than the fillings they help prevent.
- Orthodontic assessment for teenagers, including clear aligners where they suit the case.
- Custom sports mouth guards.
- Wisdom teeth, assessed properly before anyone suggests removing them.
If a tooth is knocked out. Hold it by the crown, not the root, keep it in milk and call us right away on (949) 830-0074. The first hour makes a real difference. See emergency dentistry.
Do you see UC Irvine students?
Yes. UC Irvine had more than 36,000 students enrolled in 2024 to 25. If you are still on a parent’s dental plan, bring the member ID and group number and we will check the plan before you come.
If a wisdom tooth starts to ache or a tooth cracks in the middle of exams, call and we will try to see you the same day. The drive from campus is about 20 minutes outside rush hour.
And the adults?
- Dental implants, including full arch treatment.
- Crowns and bridges.
- Gum disease treatment and periodontal maintenance.
- A second opinion if you have been given a treatment plan elsewhere and want another look.
Dr. Nojan Jahedmanesh holds a certificate in prosthodontics from UCLA and practices as a general dentist. Prosthodontics is the area of dentistry concerned with replacing missing teeth.
We just moved to Irvine. Where do we start?
Come in for a proper first visit rather than an emergency one. We take a full set of records, tell you plainly what needs attention now and what can wait, and you then have somewhere to call when something breaks on a Sunday night.
That applies whether you have landed in Quail Hill, Portola Springs, Turtle Rock or University Park or anywhere else in Irvine.
For routine care, see dental cleanings and exams, fillings, crowns and tooth extractions. If dental visits make you anxious, sedation dentistry is available, and same-day emergency appointments are held daily.
Do you take my insurance?
We accept Delta Dental, Aetna, Cigna, MetLife, Guardian, Humana, Anthem Blue Cross, Blue Shield, UnitedHealthcare and other major PPO plans, and the Delta Dental, Guardian and MetLife HMO plans (full list).
Call with your carrier name, member ID and group number. We will check your coverage before your first visit rather than after it.
What will it cost?
For anything past an exam and cleaning you get a written estimate first, itemized. It shows what your plan is expected to pay and what it leaves you.
No dental insurance? The Pearl32 membership is $59 a month with a $119 activation fee. There is also third party financing through Cherry, CareCredit, Sunbit and Happen Bank. The practice is not the creditor.
One thing worth saying plainly. This is a general practice, not a specialty office. Some complex surgical cases belong with a specialist. When that is the right call we will tell you so rather than take the case.
We are in Laguna Hills, not Irvine. There is a page for Laguna Hills with the neighborhoods, parking and the elevator to Suite 450.
Pearl32 Dentistry and Wellness also has pages for patients coming from Laguna Hills, Laguna Woods, Laguna Woods Village, Lake Forest, Aliso Viejo, Laguna Niguel, Mission Viejo, Laguna Beach, San Juan Capistrano, Tustin, Dana Point, San Clemente, Newport Beach and South Orange County. The office is the same one, at 24022 Calle De La Plata, Suite 450, Laguna Hills.
