Cosmetic dentistry in Laguna Hills is not one procedure. It is a label covering whitening, clear aligners, bonding, veneers, crowns and implants. Which one you need depends on what bothers you. The smallest treatment that fixes the complaint is usually the right one. This page sorts the complaint, then sends you to the page that answers it.
Pearl32 Dentistry and Wellness is at 24022 Calle De La Plata, Suite 450, Laguna Hills. Three general dentists work here, serving the community since 1994. Patients come from across south Orange County: Laguna Woods Village, Laguna Niguel, Aliso Viejo and Lake Forest.
Most people who search for a cosmetic dentist can describe the problem but cannot name the fix. That is our job, not yours. One way to rank the options: how much of your own tooth each one takes away. Whitening and aligners remove none. Bonding removes little or nothing. Veneers remove a measured layer of enamel, and that layer does not come back. Find the line that sounds like your mouth.
Whitening is the first thing to try. It is the least invasive treatment on this page, and the least expensive option that changes how teeth look. We use KoR whitening: custom trays worn at home with refrigerated gel, plus in-office sessions. Ordinary yellow and brown staining usually takes four to eight weeks, across three or four visits. Gel does not lighten porcelain, composite fillings or gray tetracycline banding. A single dark tooth after a root canal is a different case: see internal bleaching, and our whitening options page compares KoR with the alternatives. If you came here planning to ask about veneers, read that last sentence again, then read KoR whitening. Teeth that are straight, intact and simply too dark rarely need anything bonded to them.
Crowding, a small space and a rotated front tooth are position problems. Aligners change position, and they leave healthy enamel alone. We use Candid Pro clear aligners. A typical adult case runs four to twelve months. A small relapse after teenage braces is often three to six months. Veneers can make crowded teeth read as straight. They do it by cutting the teeth back to a new line. More enamel goes that way than on a tooth already in line. See clear aligners in Laguna Hills.
Here the choice is composite bonding or porcelain veneers. Bonding builds the shape back in tooth-colored resin, by hand, in one visit. It costs little or no enamel, and a dentist can adjust, extend or remove it years later. It picks up stain at the margins and gets refreshed every few years. Porcelain is made outside the mouth, then bonded on. It needs a measured amount of enamel removed first. Glazed ceramic holds its color, and a chipped veneer is remade rather than patched. Neither material is the better one in general terms. Pick resin when you want the option to change your mind. Pick ceramic when you want the shape and shade to stay put. See porcelain veneers in Laguna Hills, cosmetic bonding, and the side by side veneers vs bonding comparison.
Whitening and veneers do nothing for a gap, and neighboring teeth drift into it. A single implant replaces the root with a titanium post, then an abutment, then a crown. We plan the position on a 3D cone beam CT scan and place the implant through a surgical guide. The finished tooth usually takes 16 to 28 weeks. See dental implants in Laguna Hills. A tooth that is cracked but still in place is a different question, and often a same-day crown.
Crowns from the 1990s, back teeth worn flat, front teeth getting shorter, margins that leak. Cosmetic work on its own tends to fail in this group. If the bite wore those teeth down, new porcelain meets the same forces and breaks the same way. The bite is assessed first, then rebuilt in stages, usually over four to eighteen months. See full mouth reconstruction.
Then the order matters as much as the treatments. That is what a smile makeover plan is: several treatments designed together and sequenced, rather than booked one at a time.
Whitening comes before shade matching. Crowns and veneers do not respond to whitening gel. So whiten your natural teeth first. Let the shade settle for about two weeks, then match the new ceramic to the color you landed on. Done in the other order, you choose between living with a mismatch and remaking the new work.

Cosmetic dentistry goes wrong when teeth are prepared before anyone agrees what the result should look like. So the planning runs in this order.
Veneers remove enamel, and enamel does not grow back. That is the real cost of the treatment, and two things follow from it here. We route you to whitening or aligners whenever those answer the complaint. Nothing is prepared until you have seen and approved the trial smile. Digital dentistry covers the scanning, design and milling in more detail.
Three general dentists practice at Pearl32 Dentistry and Wellness. Dr. Nojan Jahedmanesh, DDS, holds a dental degree from Loma Linda University. He also holds a certificate in prosthodontics from UCLA, which is the dentistry of restoring and replacing teeth. He practices as a general dentist. Crowns and veneers are designed and milled here with in-house CAD/CAM, so many cases skip the laboratory wait.

There is no package price, because two people asking for the same thing often need different work. You get an itemized estimate in writing after the examination and records, quoted per tooth or per stage. Take a line out and the number changes. Treatment can be staged over months or years. We will tell you which parts have a clinical reason to go first.
Purely cosmetic treatment is usually not a covered benefit. Individual items sometimes are, such as a crown on a broken tooth. We take Delta Dental, Aetna, Cigna, MetLife, Guardian, Humana, Anthem Blue Cross, Blue Shield, UnitedHealthcare and other major PPO plans, and the Delta Dental, Guardian and MetLife HMO plans (full list), and we check your benefits before you commit. Cherry, CareCredit, Sunbit and Happen Bank all finance dental treatment. Our dental financing page explains what applying involves. Patients without insurance can use our membership plans.
Financing is subject to credit approval.
No. Whitening gel works on natural tooth structure only. A front crown that ends up darker than your whitened teeth has to be remade to match.
No. Most plans here are staged, and plenty of people start with whitening and stop there.
Those are treated before any cosmetic work starts. Ceramic bonded over an active problem hides it instead of fixing it. Inflamed gums also move as they settle, and the margins then sit wrong.
Yes. The Laguna Woods Village resident bus stops in our plaza, street parking is free, there are free spaces behind the building, and there is an elevator up to Suite 450. See our Laguna Woods dentist page, or contact us for directions.
Yes. We photograph and scan your teeth, and for veneers or a smile makeover a trial version is placed on your own teeth first. You see the shape and the shade in your mouth, in daylight, before any tooth is prepared. Nothing is bonded until you have approved it. See smile makeover and porcelain veneers.
Porcelain veneers commonly last 10 to 15 years with good care. Composite bonding often lasts five to ten years before it needs polishing or replacement. Grinding, nail biting and chewing ice shorten both, and a night guard protects the work if you clench. Results vary from person to person, and we say so before you start. See veneers compared with bonding.
